Terrific opportunity for a professionally minded individual looking for a position as an Orthopedic Medical Biller/Collector. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience and be able to handle high volume billing and collections for a large, stable orthopedic group.



The successful candidate will be assigned specific responsibilities, deadlines, and attainable goals. You will be responsible for follow up with insurance companies and assisting patients and attorneys over the telephone and in person.



We are looking for excellent communication, time management, organizational and customer service skills. You must have the ability to work well with other team members and be willing to help wherever help is needed. You must have the ability to work on multiple assignments at one time, audit a patient’s ledger, write an appeal letter, and have a working knowledge of ICD9, CPT coding, HCPCS and Modifiers.



The candidate will be self-motivated and work well unsupervised at times. Experience with Medi-Cal, CCS, Medicare & Medical (Medi/Medi), HMO’s, as well as a myriad of other insurance payers. You must have worked with a practice management computer system and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
