Flash Programmer/ Developer

Applied Minds, Inc. is a Los Angeles based company currently seeking experienced Flash Programmers/Developers to work on several projects. Project scopes vary in duration. Initial contract period is for 3-9 weeks on an extremely interesting advanced technology project.





Candidates should have at least 3+ years previous experience on professional/commercial projects and have an excellent work history that demonstrates core competencies at the programming level.





We are looking for candidates that are confident, hard working, good communicators and will compliment a company of design engineers, scientists, artists, designers, inventors, sfx and film directors and producers.





All work is to be done at Applied Minds in Glendale, California.





Candidate qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 2+ years of experience using OOP (ActionScript) within Flash for the gaming, multimedia or Internet industries or an equivalent combination of education and practical work experience.

Ability to write advanced, well organized object oriented ActionScript 2.0 code.

Experience using external Database, XML, and Web Services within Flash.

Excellent analytical and communications skills, oral and written.

Anticipate, identify and articulate problem areas and develop preventative solutions.

Familiarity with networking and network protocols, HTML. Style Sheets, JavaScript, 3D graphic principles, and user interface design.





Proficiency with the following:

Flash (ActionScript 1 + 2)

XML

Java / JSP

JavaScript

XHTML

CSS

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (A PLUS);

SQL

Unix

TCP/IP

C/C++
