California Neuroscience Research is studying an investigational medication for treatment of
Major Depression. There is a 16-24 week open-label treatment period, followed by a 52-week placebo-controlled relapse phase. If you are 18-70 years old, in good health and experiencing symptoms of depression you may qualify.
Major Depression is characterized by
sadness or loss of pleasure, as well as other symptoms including:
- decreased concentration
- hopelessness, worthlessness, or excessive guilt
- fatigue or loss of energy
- change in appetite or weight
- difficulty sleeping or excessive sleeping
If you exhibit symptoms of Major Depression and are in otherwise good general health, you may qualify for:
- evaluation by a Board-Certified Psychiatrist
- reimbursement for time and travel
- to 33 visits over 79 weeks
- study-related physical exam, electrocardiogram, and laboratory evaluation
All study-related services are at no cost. Certain medications and certain conditions (e.g. alcohol abuse, Bipolar Disorder) are excluded. If you qualify you may be eligible to participate in a research study.
