Free lance Floral Designer

Event Design Company is seeking free lance floral designers. Event experience required for floral designers, but will consider candidates who want to get into the industry for assistant floral positions.
This is a production design build based company, which means we produce all levels of design and décor at social, corporate, and private events. All production is in house and includes design development, design management, floral design, construction, furniture design, draping/wall coverings and all other optional design elements for our events. We design and produce events in Northern and Southern California, and out of state. Candidates must be available for required travel; travel can extend from 2-7days minimum on event sites. Onsite and Event Day hours range from 8-15/18 hour’s minimum, additional hours may apply
We are looking for candidates who want to play a role in producing beautiful events at amazing destinations and have the energy, discipline, positive attitude and “can do” work ethic that will make then a match for our fabulous team.
We are looking for free lance florists with event and wedding experience. Floral Designers must have a range of floral experience from small to large scale installations and style range from modern, romantic, whimsical, structured to garden designs. All of our events are custom and floral design style varies from event to event. Designers must be proficient with all aspects of floral design, including floral prep, container prep and full floral design. Florist must be able to work and design from provided samples and floral working within specified time frames.
• Build and Stylize floral designs per provided sample and floral formula
• Build and Stylize custom floral designs straight from provided flowers no mock up provided
• Must work well under pressure
• Design outdoors in range of weather conditions
• Long design hours
• Move and lift heavy floral items
• Work with general floral design tools
Current Schedule we are filling is for August 28 through September 20th2008. Onsite event Dates September r 1- 7th September 11-13th, September 18-20th
